The DAPL operating system has built-in data acquisition commands to perform filtering. These DAPL filtering commands implement Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters by applying vectors of coefficients, called filter vectors, to acquired data.
TMSI believes this system provides the most seat tests in a system controlled by a single PC: strength tests for the seat back and headrest, fatigue and load deflection tests, and a crash test of the headrest. A DAP within the PC performs both control and data acquisition functions.
Abstraction means that hardware and software designs conform to a common specification. Because of this compatibility by design, applications can work consistently, across different software versions, with different hardware models, over an extended time.

Software for Data Acquisition Processors runs on both the Data Acquisition Processor itself and on the host PC. DAPL, the onboard operating system, provides all the commands you need to run data acquisition and control applications.
