Company Overview:
Digital Defense has brought a unique approach to the biometric, wireless, active smart card (Factor4). This card is fully self contained and does not require a centralized database or external software to operate. The card allows users to enroll directly on the card under administrator supervision. To activate the card, a user will place the application specific finger on the card sensor then place in the proximity of a 125 KHz or 13.56 MHz reader. The card will only activate and transmit if a biometric match has been made on the card, performing a 1:1 authentication before transmitting an encrypted token. This card insures biometric and personal privacy since the actual fingerprint and matching are done on the card. The fingerprint templates are never transmitted. This card has the flexibility of being used from door to desktop and beyond. The card is compatible with 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz readers and can be used in a mixed environment since it transmits in both frequencies.
